First Post..

You have found the official The King's Coffeehouse blog page!

Congratulations, we know there are so many out there that it is hard to find genuine, verified, bonified pages for our humble coffeouse. HA! We are the King family........over 9 members strong.......each with different talents and gifting to bring to the wonderful community of Lebanon.

Here you will find the pinacle of coffee info, education, updates, and general chatter surrounding our family business. This is the first post.....and it is nearly half past midnight.....so please be gracious and forgive any and all of my spelling errors and grammar mishaps. I will certainly appreciate that.

First big news of the New Year

Mud River!

No......not the willamette river.......although that could certainly apply.

Mud River Coffee Roasters from the even more small town of Sheridan Oregon have graciously started to provide our coffee. I know many of you locals swear by Allan Bros. coffee......and we here certainly respect that. Our goal here with a new supplier is to......diversify the coffee culture of Lebanon and to further push the envelope of great coffee and tea.

I (Alan) will spend a whole hour of my day letting your try our new roasts........sampling some new menu items, and I will even send you home with a small sample of the beans we use on a regular basis.

I have been on a coffee journey in the last couple years, and I feel that Mud River is THE BEST coffee I have personally ever drank. Nick and Kim Walton have been family friends since as long I can remember.......so their coffee and their work comes to you with a very enthusiastic recommendation. Tons of info, pictures, and even an online store are available through them right this very moment at Mud River Coffee's website. You won't be dissappointed..........and if you are......come see me and I will listen.

Now.........some very vital clarifying information.....

Allan Bros. Coffee are a large group of very dedicated and wonderful people. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences with every single member of their staff from their delivery guy to their sales representsatives. The decision to change was not made lightly, or without deep thought and discussion on the King family side.

We have a slightly different goal with our coffeehouse, and we feel Mud River is the best way to go about our new vision and goals. MANY coffeeshops, drive thrus and other venues in Lebanon carry and serve Allan Bros. Coffee and we are happy they still have a large presence in Lebanon and the surrounding areas.

We, as a family are making a new path for our shop. Nick and Kim (mud river folk) are some of the most passionate and purpose driven people we have ever dealt with in the world of coffee.....and it is those factors that make the switch all the more delightful.

Now......on to the future!

Today is January 11th 2011, and we will be sampling our new roast ALL DAY LONG! ALLL WEEK (while supplies last) Samples are FREE, and we will also have NEW PASTRIES to try as well.
